Utility Management for Smart Home

This UM (Utility Management) project is in support of HDB’s ‘My Smart HDB Home@Yuhua’

Background information
TCAM is a local technology company offer TMAS brand industrial grade M2M/IOT wireless communication products and platforms for international partners for many years. The TMAS system supports various application domains, such as industrial energy meter reading, water meter reading, remote monitoring and control etc. In support of HDB smart home at Yuhua and in partner with Starhub and Intraix Mobile App, TCAM has launched a complete smart utility management package, consists of energy and water monitoring and control, with usage profile tracking and smart analytic. Integrated with various smart wireless energy clamp, smart plug, water meter reader and smart home gateway, TCAM shall bring value to Yuhua residents, not only aim to lower the utility bill, but also to offer the smart living user experience.

How it works

The IoT gateway/smart hub helps to monitor both the energy clamp and water meter interface unit wirelessly. By deploying the energy clamp in your home, it will be able to monitor how much electricity is used by each individual electronic device so as to improve energy efficiency. Besides recording water usage with the built-in sensors, the water meter interface unit will also send an alarm signal to the gateway should water usage exceed the targets set by you.
