TMN-50T GSM Controller
In a widely distributed, restricted and noisy areas like a shipyard, it is difficult for a normal person to shout loud in order to alert or warn shipyard personnel from any hazard or unusual occurrences for e.g. Fire, Flood and Accidents.
These occurrences may seriously threaten the life of the personnel working in such working environment if they are not made known quickly to all the personnel at sites as well as to the key safety committee members for planning and implement immediate rescue measures. Under such case, there is a need for an effective alarm system that gives both the visual impact especially during the night and audio impact especially during the day.
While traditional dialup monitoring alarm system may be also feasible in areas like workshops, it is impossible to be implemented on the ships under repair due to lack of fixed telephone lines. Different ships may be under repair at different times and it is not easy to implement a fixed wired type of monitoring system.
TMAS SMS Alarm Box is built with the use of TMAS TMN-50T SMS controller. for such panic / emergency alarm monitoring purpose and to address the above issues. To last longer under semi outdoor condition, it consists of various water proofing parts like the rugged enclosure, 107db siren, strobe light, panic buttons for Fire, Flood and Accident Indicators as well as the IP67 rated industrial power socket. Since it just need the AC point to operate, it can be easily deployed at any shipyard location with power point.
Upon any press of the three panic buttons, TMN-50T will quickly sent out predefined SMS alerts to the safety officers. If a particular safety officer did not SMS acknowledge back to the TMN-50T, the alert can be resent again based on resend times and intervals. If there is no acknowledgement by the safety officers after the resend period, the alert can be escalated to the next higher safety committee members and so forth. With the triggering of TMN-50T input, it can also set to uses the output of TMN-50T to trigger both the siren and the strobe light so as to attract attention and nearby help.
A better alarm means and faster response time may save precious lives and also improves the work safety standard of an organization.
In the case where there is a need to have the safety officers to have a means of activate the TMAS GSM panic alarm box without physically press on the panic buttons of the alarm box, water proof and battery operated wireless pendant and wristband can be bundled into this solution. This may be particularly true if the users are inside the base engine rooms while the GSM alarm box is deployed on top main deck. Such battery powered pendant / wristband can last for more than 3 years without any maintenance.
Each GSM panic alarm box with built in wireless receiver can be configured to support 10 wireless pendant or wristband and it has an operating distance of max 150m in open space and shorter distance. Upon pressing any of the 10 wireless pendants / wristbands, it will trigger the GSM panic alarm box and cause it to send out immediate SMS alert to authorised users and also to activate its siren/rotating light.
